The University of New South Wales Will Be 100% Solar Powered

The university announced this week that starting from 2019, it will purchase 124,000-megawatt hours of clean electricity each year form a future solar farm in Sydney.

The University of New South Wales has signed an agreement to make sure that the whole university is 100% solar powered as reported by Climate Action Programme. The university announced this week that starting from 2019, it will purchase 124,000-megawatt hours of clean electricity each year form a future solar farm in Sydney. The solar farm will be built next year and is expected to provide renewable power to the university by the 2nd quarter of 2019.
