The University of New South Wales Will Be 100% Solar Powered

The University of New South Wales has signed an agreement to make sure that the whole university is 100% solar powered as reported by Climate Action Programme.

The university announced this week that starting from 2019, it will purchase 124,000-megawatt hours of clean electricity each year form a future solar farm in Sydney.

The solar farm will be built next year and is expected to provide renewable power to the university by the 2nd quarter of 2019. The power requirements will also be supplemented by a large number of solar arrays already installed on the campus rooftop.
