Nowingi Solar Project Can Help The Demand For Solar Battery Storage

A new $660 million large-scale solar battery storage project in Victoria’s north-west could provide a solution for businesses struggling with Australia’s volatile energy market as stated by the Lyon Group.

The Lyon Group is planning to start building the new facility at Nowingi, South of Mildura, in September.

Project partner David Green said the project would make sure business and organisations were able to access, electricity when they needed it most. The company has also announced a plan to build a $1B battery and solar farm in South Australia’s Riverland by the end of the year and a smaller project on Cape York in far north Queensland.
