Ikea Is Now Selling Home Batteries and Solar Panels

Ikea is now selling solar panels and home batteries in the UK. The furniture retailer has partnered with Solarcentury, the country’s leading provider of solar technology, and is offering solar battery storage starting at GBP 3,051.71 (AU $5,029.77) as reported by Futurism.

Ikea claims that they can reduce a household’s electricity bill by up to 50%. They also offer an online tool to estimate savings.

Advantages of the Ikea solar system include:

  • The panels will be installed by experts.
  • Interested customers can get a free quote and then verification from a home surveyor before engineers install the solar system.
