GHD and Solstice Development Services Said Clean Coal is Cheaper Than Renewables

The Turnbull government is considering the construction of a new high-efficiency, low emissions coal-fired power station and it would cost $2.2 billion. This is less than the $3 billion of grants handed out to many renewable projects every year, as stated in a new study.

Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull is under extreme pressure in delivering relief for households, manufacturers and small businesses since Australians are facing electricity price hikes following moves by energy companies to increase power bills by 20%.
