Even Donald Trump Cannot Stop The Progress of Renewable Energy

Donald Trump’s energy policy wants to pollute America to prosperity and it is doomed to fail as it comes into collision with economic reality, according to Dr. Adnan Al-Daini.

One of the first executive orders is to allow TransCanada Corporation to build Keystone XL Pipeline which facilitates the transfer of tar sands oil from Alberta Canada to Illinois and Texas in the United States. Tar sands oil is considered the dirtiest and most polluting because it requires more energy to extract and process than traditional oil.

The second EO is to cancel a moratorium on the sale of coal mining leases on Federal lands. It’s an attempt to revive the coal mining industry and put miners back to work. Also, President Trump doesn’t believe in climate change and believes that it’s a hoax the Chinese government made up to disrupt America.

According to Al-Adhani, the president’s actions will drag the United States backward while the rest of the world moves forward into adapting and using clean and renewable energy-based sustainable future. And in any case, if the president really wants to create jobs, the answer is not the oil pipelines or coal mining but in the renewable and energy saving measure.

Renewable energy is getting more affordable while fossil fuel is becoming more expensive as the environmental impacts of its use are factored. Just consider PV solar cell prices have come down by a factor of 100 over the last 38 years and down by a factor of 25 over the last 15 years.
