The Daily Mail has reported that Tesla CEO, Elon Musk, was surprised to hear about Australia’s power supply issues and criticisms of his battery plans in South Australia.
In July, Musk agreed to build the world’s largest lithium-ion battery to secure South Australia’s power supply after the statewide blackout last year. He had no idea about the political bickering between states and politicians over the county’s energy sources and their prices.
Musk stated that Australia has many natural resources and electricity should be cheaper. He said, “I didn’t realise it was that expensive to go the fossil fuel route.”
