Western Australia Should Direct Its Focus On Solar Power

According to Greens Mining and Pastoral MLC Robin Chapple, Western Australia should direct its focus on renewable solar power as reported by The West Australian.

As of last month, the Western Australia government established a taskforce aimed at making the state a global liquefied natural gas (LNG) hub. Chapple has stated that just because Australia is becoming the world’s biggest exporter of LNG, doesn’t mean that the government should be prioritising its energy resources into this limited power resource.

He also said that Western Australia has high levels of solar radiation (sunlight) and the state is an ideal location for generating renewable energy and developing technologies that could lead the world if the government shifts its focus.
