Australians Are More Interested in Solar Batteries Now

With electricity prices going high and an uncertain electricity future in Australia, it’s not surprising that more Australians are looking at solar home batteries to complete their independence from the grid and beat the high prices of electricity. What’s also surprising is just how fast the market is progressing because solar batteries are fast becoming more affordable and the numbers are not just for early adopters and users.

Batteries were seldom considered as a solid option for households with solar panels, not until the Tesla Powerwall was introduced less than 2 years ago. Natural Solar, Tesla Powerwall installer, said only 2-3% of customers even asked about batteries before 2015. Since making Tesla Powerwall available to their energy storage range, the number of customer’s inquiries for battery power and the Tesla Powerwall has grown to 95%.
