Australian National University Solar Car Presented To The Public

The Super Charge is the Australian National university’s first entry to the World Solar Challenge

The Australian National University (ANU) has presented their solar car that will compete in this year’s solar car race from Darwin to Adelaide. The solar car named “Super Charge” will compete on World Solar Challenge against other solar cars from around the world as reported by ABC News. The key details about this story include:
  • The race will cover 3,000 kilometers.
  • Super Charge was built by 30 students in two years.
  • The car’s body is made up of carbon fiber to make it light yet strong and the car’s frame is made from aluminum to survive the harsh outback. The race will start on October 8 in Darwin.
