ARENA Carry Out $2.1 M Funds For Australian Residential Solar

Australian solar energy software company Solar Analytics announced that it has received $2.1M in funding from the Australian Renewable Energy Agency to support the development and roll-out of smart monitoring for residential solar in the country.

The four-year project that was started by ARENA funding will lead to 25, 000 homes from solar-monitoring technology by the year 2020. The funding for Solar Analytics is part of ARENA’s Advancing Renewables Programme a $50M fund that is designed to support projects that will cut costs and increase the use of renewable-energy technologies.

The monitoring technology can enhance the energy yield of a rooftop solar system by over 15%. It can also build up the financial return on residential solar power systems and spur the solar market because of the increased financial returns and engagements of customers.
